A Dolgellau man has escaped being sent to jail by magistrates after admitting breaching the conditions of a suspended sentence order.
Joshua Atkinson, of 1 Henfaes, appeared before Llandudno Magistrates’ Court on 17 April.
The 30-year-old admitted a charge of failing without reasonable excuse to comply with a community requirement of a suspended sentence order made by Cheshire Magistrates' Court on 17 December last year by failing to attend a planned appointment on 27 January this year.
The court heard that imprisonment for the breach “was not appropriate” because Atkinson “is likely to comply with the requirements of the order during the remainder of its term.”
Atkinson was fined £80 and must also pay costs of £65.
