A former police officer has admitted to committing a sexual offence earlier this year.

Detective Constable Lee Harshey-Jones, who has now resigned from North Wales Police, appeared at Chester Crown Court on 30 September.

He pleaded guilty to recording an image under clothing to observe another without consent, contrary to S.67A(1) and (4) of the Sexual Offences Act 2003.

The charge related to an incident involving two juvenile females, which occurred on Thursday, 11 June in Old Colwyn.

The 45-year-old also pleaded guilty to corrupt or other improper exercise of police powers and privileges, and to a charge of perverting the course of justice.

He has been released on bail and will be sentenced on 19 November.
