Dyfi Bridge on the A487 at Machynlleth has reopened.

The bridge closed yesterday afternoon when heavy rain caused water levels to raise to dangerous levels below the the bridge.

The bridge reopened at 9.15am.

A new £46m Dyfi Bridge is under construction. It is expected to open this year.

In January 2020, plans to build the much-needed bridge across the river Dyfi in Machynlleth were given the go-ahead by the Welsh Government.
