Dog owners across Gwynedd are being encouraged to walk 30 miles in 30 days with their furry friends this November.

Hope House Tŷ Gobaith children’s hospices are hosting their free Woof Walk 30 initiative in conjunction with Pet Place and in return for sponsorship your dog and you could win a prize! There’s even a stylish free bandana for your dog to wear.

All you have to do is register online, commit to doing the distance and ask friends or family to sponsor you.

If you raise £60, then your pooch will receive a special treat from Pet Place. But if you hit £120 then you’ll get a prize too.

Event organiser, Courtney Harris said: “The Woof Walk is the perfect way to shake off the Winter blues and get yourself outside every day – plus your dog will love it.

“We care for over 750 children who are living with a life-threatening condition. Every penny raised by Woof Walk 30 will go straight to providing nursing care, respite stays and precious memories for the whole family.

“Pet Place are the perfect partners and have been so generous with their sponsorship and involvement.

“So, what are you waiting for? Get signed up today and make November your dog’s favourite month of the year.”

Jodie Miller from Pet Place is equally enthusiastic, she said: “We have enjoyed a long relationship with the hospices and are delighted to be on board.

“From leads and harnesses to treats and poo bags, we've got everything you need to take part with your dog. Don't forget to make sure you are both visible during dark walks with reflective leads and clip-on lights.

“There are so many beautiful places to explore. So, get involved, grab the lead and get ready for Woof Walk 30.” You can sign up at www.hopehouse.org.uk/Event/woofwalk30
