MACHYNLLETH Scouts have collected several bags of rubbish after a litter-pick between Derwenlas and Machynlleth town centre.
The Scouts carried out the litter-pick, along with local councillor Michael Williams, as part of their Expedition Challenge Award on Sunday, 15 July.
Similar litter-picks have been held by the Scouts in recent years and Elen Chick, the Scout leader of 1st Machynlleth Scouts, said the group had been eager to help clean up Machynlleth and the cycle path approach into the town again.
Youngsters from the group who took part in the litter-pick started from the campsite at Morben Isaf caravan park, where they camped overnight on Saturday, and made their way into Machynlleth from Derwenlas, picking up litter along the way and filling more than six bags with rubbish.
Cllr Williams, who joined the litter-pick as he has in previous years, paid tribute to the youngsters for heir work during the day.
