Following Storm Austen and before storm Boelo was at full strength Borth & Ynyslas Golf Club celebrated the beginning of the new Captains year with a Drive In and Putt Out.

With a number of members present in the wind and rain to support and take part in the flag competition, they said farewell to Jane Miller and Harri Jones after their successful year as Captains by putting, out on the 18th green.

Members thanked them both for their hard work and dedication as Captains of Borth & Ynyslas Golf Club.

Following the putt out they then welcomed new Captains, Anne Morris and Simon Bentley to the first tee for the drive in.

Following the traditional exploding golf balls they were eventually given a correct ball and both hit excellent drives down the fairway.

Money raised in the flag competition and raffle totaled £250 , this will go towards the Captains’ charities DASH Ceredigion and Prostate Cymru.
