IOAN Lloyd and Sion Williams will return to rallying in their native Wales when they contest this weekend's Rali Ceredigion (September 4-6) in a factory Vauxhall Corsa Rally4.

Lloyd, 23-years old from Llandysul in West Wales, and his co-driver Williams from Blaenau Ffestiniog are competing in the ADAC Opel Electric Rally Cup in their Vauxhall UK Mokka GSE Rally this season but will now return to a Rally4 car for the biggest UK rally of 2026.

With the FIA European Rally Championship, including the Junior European Rally Championship, heading to Aberystwyth for Rali Ceredigion, Lloyd was keen to have the chance to show his pace against the best young stars in Europe.

With the full backing of Vauxhall, Ioan will drive the Corsa Rally4 in the Junior ERC section of the rally and says it is a fantastic opportunity. During pre-event testing Lloyd said: "I'm super grateful for the opportunity to be in a factory-supported Vauxhall Corsa Rally4 this weekend on my home event. It feels incredibly good to be back, and we've now got two important days of recce before the rally starts.”

The Aberystwyth-based rally has a route that goes close to Lloyd's home so it is very much his home event and he has an impressive record on the closed-road asphalt event. This will be Lloyd’s fifth time on Rali Ceredigion and he has finished all four previous visits, with results including Junior BRC victory in 2024 and tenth overall and first in class ERC4 in 2025.

Philip Douglass, Vauxhall Marketing Director, said: "We're incredibly excited to see Ioan competing on home soil with his car sporting a bespoke livery for Rali Ceredigion. Ioan is doing a fantastic job representing Vauxhall in the ADAC GSE Rally Cup behind the wheel of the all-electric Vauxhall Mokka GSE Rally, where he currently sits second in the standings.” Vauxhall is also giving Rali Ceredigion significant further support as the event's official vehicle partner.

Ioan Lloyd is proud to confirm his 2026 athlete sponsor list: Mark Jukes Containers, Huw Jeffreys and Sons Plumbing and Heating Engineers, Castell Howell Foods, David Byrne Auto Repairs, West Wales Rally Spares and Vauxhall Motors.
