An Aberystwyth man will stand trial later this year after denying that he committed two thefts in two days from an Aberystwyth supermarket.

Grant Mason, of 28 Cambrian Street, appeared before Aberystwyth Magistrates’ Court on 23 September.

The 40-year-old pleaded not guilty to two counts of theft from the Marks & Spencers store in Aberystwyth.

Mason is accused of stealing four bottles of Jersey Potato Vodka worth £120 on 3 September, and one bottle of vodka, a packet of cheese tasters and a loaf of bread from the same store on the previous day.

Mason is due to stand trial on the theft charges at Aberystwyth Magistrates’ Court on 26 November.

He was remanded on conditional bail until that date.
