A Llanarth man has been fined after being caught driving at almost twice the speed limit in an Aberystwyth 20mph zone.

Llanelli Magistrates’ Court heard on 23 September that Aron Bebb-Worrall, of 9 Caeau Gwynfryn, was caught driving a BMW 1 Series at 39mph on the 20mph limit stretch of Primrose Hill in Llanbadarn Fawr on 4 February this year.

Bebb-Worrall, who pleaded guilty to the charge, was handed a fine of £446 and magistrates endorsed his driving licence with five penalty points.

Bebb-Worrall must also pay prosecution costs of £130 as well as a surcharge of £178.
