A Tregaron man has been banned from the road for a year after pleading guilty to drug driving.
Nicholas Sheppard, of Pen yr Yrfa, Tynreithyn, appeared before Aberystwyth Magistrates’ Court on 29 October.
The court heard that the 47-year-old was stopped while driving on the A483 in Newtown on 22 April this year.
Roadside wipes and later laboratory testing showed that Sheppard had cocaine in his system exceeding the specified limit.
Checks showed that Sheppard was also driving without insurance, while the car had no MOT.
Magistrates disqualified Sheppard from driving for 12 months and handed him a fine of £120.
He must also pay £85 costs and a surcharge to fund victim services of £96.
