Arts organisations across the Cambrian News region will share £1.2 million.

Arts Capital Investment Fund grants have been awarded across Wales, with Cardigan’s Mwldan receiving £227,918, and Small World Theatre, £67,499.

Aberystwyth’s Arad Goch gets £124,000.

Gwynedd recipients include Galeri Caernarfon (£308,057), Oriel Plas Glyn-y-Weddw (£302,000), Canolfan Gerdd William Mathias (£9,412), CARN (£15,000), Theatr Bara Caws (£75,000), Blaenau Ffestiniog’s Cellb (£26,226), and Tabernacl (Bethesda) Cyf / Neuadd Ogwen (£74,999).

The Arts Council Wales and Welsh Government fund reopened on 17 September, with an additional £2 million available to invest in arts capital projects, bringing the total arts capital investment from Welsh Government this year to £10m. The deadline for applications is 19 October (12 noon).

Dafydd Rhys, Chief Executive of the Arts Council of Wales, said: “Across Wales, we are supporting ambitious projects that will protect valued cultural assets, improve accessibility, reduce environmental impact and create new opportunities for artists, audiences and communities.

“From major venue upgrades and community-owned cultural spaces to digital innovation and greener ways of working, these projects demonstrate the sector’s commitment to delivering the accessible, high-quality arts provision that the communities of Wales deserve.”

By investing in these organisations, we are helping to ensure people across Wales can continue to access high-quality cultural experiences, while providing artists and creative practitioners with the facilities, resources and opportunities they need to flourish.

This investment will reach organisations of all sizes, from flagship venues to grass-roots community spaces, ensuring the benefits of this funding are felt across the country."
