FORMER Caernarfon Town striker Louis Lloyd is on the move again after completing a season-long loan switch from Scottish side St Johnstone to Stenhousemuir.

The 22-year-old forward made his name during two highly successful seasons at The Oval, establishing himself as one of the JD Cymru Premier's most feared goalscorers and playing a key role in one of the most memorable periods in the club's recent history.

Having previously come through the youth ranks at Llandudno, Wrexham, Connah's Quay Nomads and Shrewsbury Town, Lloyd arrived at Caernarfon in the summer of 2023 looking for regular first-team football. He quickly became a fans' favourite, scoring nine league goals in his debut campaign as the Canaries secured European qualification for the first time.

Lloyd also featured in Caernarfon's historic UEFA Conference League qualifying adventure in 2024, helping the club overcome Crusaders before a glamour tie against Polish giants Legia Warsaw.

His second season in yellow and green proved even more productive. Lloyd struck 16 league goals during the 2024/25 regular season to share the Golden Boot award and then starred in the European play-offs, scoring four times in a 5-2 victory over Barry Town United before finding the net again in the final against Haverfordwest County.

In total, Lloyd scored 31 goals and registered six assists in 77 appearances for Caernarfon, earning the JD Cymru Premier Young Player of the Season award and a place in the league's Team of the Season.

Those performances secured a move to St Johnstone in July 2025, where he scored on his first start for the Perth club. He now heads to Stenhousemuir in search of regular game time as the next chapter of his career begins.
