DENBIGH Town were the visitors to Penllyn on Saturday in another tough encounter for Llanuwchllyn, who remain near the bottom of the table.
The visitors made the brighter start and took the lead after nine minutes when Llanuwchllyn once again failed to clear the ball effectively from defence and Ffranc Vaughan-Evans took full advantage.
Llanuwchllyn responded after 15 minutes, however, when James Davies capitalised on a misplaced pass in the Denbigh defence before rounding the goalkeeper and firing into the back of the net.
Llanuwchllyn created several golden opportunities before half-time, with the best falling to James Davies from six yards out, but his effort sailed over the bar.
In a goal-filled second half, Denbigh looked the stronger side and were back in front within five minutes of the restart before adding a third on the hour mark, Tomas Kelly with the goal to make Llanuwchllyn's task even more difficult.
The home side responded positively once again, pushing forward and creating chance after chance, but they were unable to find the net.
Llanuwchllyn's second goal came from Ilan ap Gareth Jones after an hour, following good work by substitute Dale Davies.
Despite being reduced to 10 men after Sion Jones was red cared, Denbigh extended their lead in the 86th minute when their pacey substitute winger Findlay Starkey-Jones fired past Rob Dascalu in goal to make it 4-2.
A late consolation goal arrived for the hosts through Gwydion Ifan in the closing minutes, but the match was already beyond their reach.
Llanuwchllyn face another difficult assignment on Saturday with a trip to Porthmadog. Kick-off is at 2.30pm.
