A Llanybydder drug driver has been banned from the road for 12 months.

Claire Holland, of 1 Gwynfryn Terrace, appeared before Aberystwyth Magistrates’ Court on 4 November.

The court heard that the 49-year-old was stopped while driving on the A485 at Lampeter on 24 January this year.

Testing showed that Holland had cocaine in her system exceeding the specified limit.

Checks also showed Holland was driving without a licence and insurance.

Magistrates disqualified her from driving for 12 months.

She was also made the subject of a community order to include six months of drug treatment and handed a fine of £120.

Holland must also pay £85 costs.
