RACING continues at Tenby Sailing Club as the season draws to a close.

There was exciting dinghy races on Tuesday, September 15th.

The results were as follows: 1, Europe 444, Robin Wood; 2, ILCA7, Steve Leach; 3, Osprey 1380, Dan Jackson and Matt Goldwait; 4. R252. Julian Cumpsty and Gary Jarvis.

Three races were sailed in breezy conditions under the direction of race officer Michelle James on Saturday, September 19th.

Just two lasers competed for the Thomas Cup. Julian Cumpsty won each race, but was made to earn each victory by Howard Yeats.

Redwings will be sailing their last race of the season on Thursday, September 24th, starting at 6pm.

Clubhouse

Fantastic new windows have been installed this month, along with well thought out improvements in the upper decks.

The clubroom is now open as normal, with live music on Friday, followed on Saturday by Terry’s quiz at 8pm, which will continue throughout the winter on the last Saturday of each month (except December).

Other dates for the diary are: October 31st, Halloween Party; Friday November 27th, Annual Dinner, and Saturday, November 28th, Annual General Meeting.

The ‘Big Boat’ lift-out is on Monday, September 28th. Drivers around Pennyless Cove, Castle Square, and St Julian Street are reminded to leave clear access for the large crane from midnight on Sunday. The first lift is scheduled for 4.30am.
